Miss Gina,

Like I said pack your little bag and come sit with us! No one smokes, Dad is a great cook and he sleeps in his chair next to Mom in the living room so there is an extra bed. ;)

Your loved!

Good morning everyone!  My Woo Hoo for the day is that I don't have to go back to the office until 5/15.  YAY!!!

Nothing much going on here.  Trying to wake up and get ready to work.  Need to finish mowing the backyard today--only did half the other day--& I need to weedeat out front.  Also need an HEB run for a few things.

Okay...need more coffee.

Love & Hugs,

Jeri

Good morning.  Lots of paperwork at school today.  I'm making a little progress on my folders, but have lots to do.    They're having a disaster drill at 8:15 and evacuating ALL kids and teachers and admnistrators to a park across town to see how that goes and how long it takes.  All campuses in town are doing it, but alternating days.  I am staying to work w/ secretaries and cafeteria, etc. folks.

I have to come home and work on the last of my prom decorations, which is sewing long tubes for theater walkway poles (the fabric things that link them) and I'll be ready for decorating next week.

Supper in crockpot.  Hope my "creation" of stuff I dumped in is okay or Ben will be griping at me!

Prayers to all who need them.

Have a great Wednesday.

Karla

Howdy TMB!!

Hopping on to say a huge THANKS for all the prayers for me and my parents.  Not sure how it's affecting them (I'm a "bad daughter" and I'm not calling) but I can tell that it's helped me.  Please continue to pray for us as we all need it.  Am thinking there is a certain amount of dementia starting with my Mom and maybe even my Dad.  But, my brother and sister who live there say that they "seem to be okay mentally" so who knows.  Anyway, I'm not sure I can continue to deal with the fighting, the cursing, the name calling, etc when I call them.  It's just ugly.  These people aren't the parents I know and I don't know what to do other than pray.

Anyway.....almost stayed on plan yesterday.  Did get to the gym finally to exercise so that was nice.  Will go again tomorrow.  Hoping to get back on track with exercise.

A funny from church last night.  The leader for the class I am taking on Wednesdays can't be there tonight and is looking for someone to teach for him tonight.  He called and asked my dh, who isn't caught up on the reading so dh said no.  The leader is obviously unsure about who to ask to lead the class.  Finally he reluctantly asked me if I'd consider facilitating it.  It's hilarious because he's obviously one of the "old school" Baptist and it bothered him to ask a WOMAN to lead a class.  Ummm ... hello?  Didn't Jesus appear to the women FIRST and TELL THEM TO GO AND TELL??  Anyway.  It cracked me up because I didn't expect this from this particular person.  OH...and it gets better.  Since he was obviously uncomfortable about asking ME, I told him that "if you can't find a guy to do it, just give me a call tomorrow and I'll be happy to fill in for you."  I have a feeling he's going to turn the world upside down and shake it to find a man to lead the class tonight.  Won't hurt my feelings (much) if he does.  I  will have to spend half the day today preparing if he does need me and I really do have other things I need/want to do today. Anyway...  :)

Have a great day.  Love and prayers.

I did a report in undergrad on the very topic of that! It's amazing how so many forget that Jesus appeared to the women folk and THEY got to spread the word first! hmmmm
